verizon tv/espnu

for anyone who has verizon service did you have this problem today:

on the tv guide at the time for the face off classic it said college basketball or football and never updated to the actuall schedule so you had to record those games to catch the face off classic.

even better was that it didn't record the JHU and princeton game and the last part of the syracuse princeton game because it somehow forgot to record the other basketball/football games it said was on....

i dont know if this has any relevance in this forum but im just ticked that i missed watching the last game and the first game cuz of this and i want to know if this was just me or anyone else had this problem

I had verizon last yr. and we cancelled it! What happened with your programs was not Verizons fault, it happened to me a few times until I figured that what I had to do was change the recording times manually as opposed to what the TV guide had said. WHen you want to record your programs, set the times manually at least 1/2 hr before and at least 3 hr+ afterwards. The reason is the LIVE programming of games and timeouts/commericals etc, start to play hell with your actual start/end times of the Lax game? For football, add at least 40 min manually, hockey, etc. Once you do this, it will stop all recording problems.

I had the same problem, I called verizon fios to see if they would update the on screen guide and they said it was Espnu's fault for not providing a current program guide. I contacted espn and have never recieved a response. I also tried the manual recording and did not get what I programmed. This is very frustrating since the only reason I picked verizon was to get college Lacrosse.
