how was everyone's first day if of course today was ur first day. i no mine wasnt good i got smashed up in gym 9th period and had to miss the day cause i need stiches

Mine was ok. Im in 8th grade and im trying out with a defending state champ varsity team. The only really bad thing was I got a shaft broken over my arm/hand/shaft...Really cold though

I hate when its really windy so your(or just mine) lips get dry. So then you keep licking them so there not dry. Then eventually you get really chapped lips. That happens alot to me on cold windy days like today

yeah were practicing in like a field house type thing but today we have a 2 hour practice a 3 mile run and then the weight room was "Optional" but you pretty much we have to go

Wow. Your so lucky you have a fieldhouse.My school is too poor. 2nd day-terrential rains for about an hour and then the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and the wind picked up.So it felt like it was 20 with wind chill. Only 3 and a half hours of that. It was soo incredibly cold.

Cold weather sucks. The last two days the weather was BEAUTIFUL here. Hopefully it stays that way. But our practice doesn't start until Friday.

Mine is the 10th of March for the first day of "tryouts" noone gets cut its just for Varsity or not

Yea weve been practicing all that time but the official first day. Basically all of that was optional but if you wanted to make the team you went. For my team at least. Shoreham Wading River..

mine was pretty decent. i personally did good, but was last finished in sprints because other people cheated. i still made 2nd string over a couple seniors and juniors. second day was ok, although we had to practice in the wrestling gym (not enough room for 30 grown men). we jogged around the school and got called crackers by the step team. today it was horrible, it was like 40 degrees and i only had shorts and a t-shirt. luckily, our coach didnt make us do conditioning because of the cold weather.

You guys actually have a "Stomp the Yard"-esque step team? Woah. Yeah up here in Michigan all of our first days are monday... but im sure it'll still be bitter cold as today there was 7-9 inches of fresh snow.

mine started on monday. im hoping that i get picked for captain. that was be awsome for me being that im only a freshmen.

Ours are the 10th as well. And yes playing in the gym is not only dangerous but hot and not fun. But midman having a freshmen captain is not a good idea seems though it would be your first year on that team im thinking and don't know how the coach really works and older kids don't like to take orders from the younger ones.

i feel where your coming from but ive had a lot of experience with this team. I played with them all summer and winter and am better than most of the ones on the team. I feel like i have a lot of respect on this team also. I know becoming a captain isn't all about being good. i was captain last year too. but i know where your coming from.

3rd Day- Surprisingly nice. About 50 degrees, not much wind, and no shafts broken over my body. 4th day-:bawling: I broke my baby. My PP snapped right in the middle of the scoop. And I didnt have my backup so I had to use my friends stick

My first prac was heck, I was the only goalie, so they bagged on my pocket, and wanted to put me in the goal, then they wanted to take shots, i was scared

My first day was everything I needed it to be. I was in good enough shape to be up front most of the time in running. I performed well in pass/catch eval. It was on the 19th though, so I know what team I am on. Starting Var @ Crease Defense. (Last year I played JVII/swung JV).

First game is monday. Can not wait!

like i posted before on the first day i had to go to the er for getting hit in the face w/ a hockey stick, and then on the second day my beloved torque snapped right in half while catching a pass :( and then the past couple days ive been tearing it up. hope to get some good playing time

mine sucked. i wasnt allowed to practice cause my school nurses lost my green card. now the second day was cancelled because of a snow storm we are having. the storm is also cancelling our saturday practice(tomorrow). im so mad. now i have to wait until monday for my first practice.AAHH!!:hot:
