i'm a newb and i'm just starting to play lacrosse... next year i'm trying out for my school's team. I've got a STX quark and i've gotta say it's not that bad of a stick... it needed to have alot of adjusting, but it's very accurate now and shoots hella hard. i love this sport! lol, that's all for now... hopefully this site will be a huge success, it looks awesome!
Good to have you guys. Tell a few friends. I'm looking forward to playing summer league this year. Starts this week matter of fact.

its cool to see someone do something like this. when i first came on to the site, it was, well......over whelming. it seemed cluttered because of all the buttons and topics, comparing it to a more simpler forum like e-lacrosse's. but i've been on here 1 day and im starting to get the hang of it. in a week it wont even be a problem. and you have some really cool features. i like how you can just type at the bottom for a quick response or click the post reply button and add those tight looking smile faces :werd keep them coming. another great feature is that as soon as you come on it tells you whats new and will take you directly to them. keep it up. your sites only going to get better and lax is only going to get bigger.

Hey..in time everyone will get used to it. This bulletin software is second to none and in time it's features will draw members to hang out here. There will be alot of those that will not visit another site and thats fine. Spread the word and watch us grow.
The forums are plenty, but again in time that will bring members. If I just have 5-6 forums I'd be another alllacrosseamerica or e-lacrosse. I'm different and I will in time offer more features to members. I love this sport and this website can be huge with your help !
Enjoy !:agree

This is my first year playing lacrosse and i love it. The game is so addicting. We just started this sport in our school district but we had to make it a club and combine 2 highschools cuz we are kinda poor. Hopefully the school will give us some money next year. I am from Michigan.

Actually, I will make reference to it on my site. But I would rather Mark do the recruiting on the Wingszone. He knows more about what he wants to say about the board to attract people. The Wingszone is sort of the main media site for the NLL, so you may want to include something about how you provide for the average NLL fan.

I'm Dan, 21, from Virginia. I started playing when I was 19 in a rec club at college. I played a ton of sports my entire life, baseball, football, roller hockey, basketball, tennis, but i love lacrosse more than any of them. Here's a quick story, many of you can relate. I've been helping coach 2 camps a day this week, one in the morning for elementary school kids, one in the afternoon for middle school kids. This morning while we were screwing around showing the kids how the game should look, I took a pass off my right eye (I wear glasses) and ended up getting a fairly huge cut under my eye. So I got driven to the hospital for 2 stitches and a tetanus shot and still went to camp that afternoon and played the same demo that got me hurt in the first place. Some of the other helpers were like "Are you crazy", I just love this sport. Doc didn't say I couldn't play :-) One more quick story as long as I've gone on this long, when I was learning to play at school, we were playing on a field right outside the fenced in soccer field. One of the guys threw the bal over the fence and had to jump it to get the ball. In the process, he gashed his hand open pretty badly. Since he still wanted to play, he wrapped athletic tape around his hand to hold the wound shut and played another hour. Two days later he went to the medical center for stitches and a tetanus shot but played with us the next day. There is just something about this sport that you can't get out of your system. ANyway, I've gone on long enough, I love these forums too, you cats are doing good work.

I'm Summer and I'm from Maryland but I'll be in Massachusetts next year for prep school. I've been playing for anywhere to 7-9 years now as its hard to keep track. Basically since I was 5-6 years old. I'm 15 now and this past season played for Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, who won the regional championship! I also have played for St. Peter's, Advantage, Play Her Sports, Olney Boys and Girls Club, and the Bethesda Lacrosse Club. Those programs I did off and on, doing clinics and team stuff intermittently. I also now play for the Maryland Stars club team, which does tournaments in the area.

I think the biggest difference is not the players as much as the competition they play against. I have met some pretty good players form Florida and Colorado . I personally think New York rocks though. Good idea to go play against or with players that are better then you and routinely play against toucher competiton.
and you feel this way why laxee? I am always interested in your thoughts on these subjects.

SuperSonic,
If you wish to play lacrosse, colleges in Virginia, Maryland, and New York are your best bets. If you have a specific field of interest to study (other than lacrosse), you will want to look into colleges which specialize in that field in one of those states.
Hailing from Germany, eh? That makes this board international! Let me tell ya SuperSonic, American girls go nuts for guys from other countries. If you have an accent, DO NOT LEAVE IT IN GERMANY! It is your key to popularity with the ladies. Let them try and figure out where you're from.
(PS, this trick also works for people, like myself, who have strong dialectic accents, such as a Philadelphia or New York accent....drives 'em nuts trying to figure out where you're from!)
