Peyser scores 35 seconds in. My guess is petro sparks them in halftime and there going to come out and win big.

You never know. Hofstra is a good match up because their coach was an assistant at Hopkins for years. Hop played sloppy against UMBC also.

Orlando is keeping Hofstra in it.

Yea hopkins is playing more well now. Rabil needs to be more of a factor though. I think he only has an assist

Yes, please tell. Because the most ridiculous thing happened...the internet radio just stopped working for me just when OT was starting. You have got to be kidding me...

EDIT: After trying forever and a half, I have successfully connected once again. Thank goodness.

EDIT2: .........wow.....

What happened? How did Paul Rabil and Peyser do?

There is really no a question as to whether or not Duke will be #1 (assuming they win against Loyola. Not quite sure of the score at the moment as two sites are stating different scores...according to IL, it's 14-4 Duke, I think at the half? Please correct me if I'm wrong.). The question is how far Hopkins will drop in the polls after losing to unranked Hofstra.

rabil didnt play that well he was put on lock most of game by kevin unterstein and another long pole. Peyser had 2 goals including the one to send the game into OT he performed ok on faceoffs. Rabil was a little passive in my opinion

Saw this coming, although i didnt think it would happen this early. It seems like teams figured out Hopkins early in the season. I think they're going to fall to about 4 or 5 since they lost to an unranked team.

I think you have to put Duke,Virginia,Maryland,Cuse( if they win this weekend) the winner of UNC-ND and possibly Delaware in front of them. Tha doesn't mean all these teams are better than Hopkins it's just how ranking sort of works. I would not be shocked to see them fall to 6 or 7.

so many things have to happen for any team to be #1 now... it will be a confusing poll

Duke is the hands down #1. Esp after their 21-8 win over Loyola today.

I think duke would have been ranked #1 over hop even if hop beat hofstra in OT

you guys got to give hofstra some credit here, everything isn't about hopkins loosing it. idk if any of you guys were at the game, but i was standing on the fence right behind the hofstra bench, so i had a good seat. hopkins had about 3 settled possessions in the first half, and hofstra withstood and massive rally. good work boys

wow you gotta be kidding me, but it wont matter look what happened to hopkins last year, a loss doesnt mean much in regular season

Oh I agree. I still would like to see the Blue Devils ranked #1

Although I also think this is a HUGE upset seems though Hofstra has not been on the best track so far this year, I'm not sure how much this will affect Hopkins ranking. I know Duke will now be number 1 but how far do you actually think they will go down?

A nice upset early in the season. Didn't expect Hopkins to lose to Hofstra. On the other hand I was expecting Hopkins to lose later in the season. Anyways, I think they will drop somewhere between #4-7. Duke will be #1 =/... Virginia #2 ;)

Virginia should not be ranked that high at all Duke should be where they are but unc should replace marlyand and Virginia should be 4th in my opinion

What a great game for Card. Freshmen with a hatrick in the first quarter. Until overtime he gotta kind of shut down after that but he still had a great game.
And i'd say JHU drops to #6 probably, maybe 7, with Duke #1 and UVA #2

all i can say is that Hopkins was playing at a high school level. i think they played a really bad game. Hofstra went on the field ready to play and they did. I was at this game and it was a great game. Would've been better if Hopkins won and if it wasn't down pouring but a very exciting game it was.
