I searched but couldn't really find the exact answers i needed.
I'm dying my eclipse, and i want it to be a solid Green in this shade : ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I'm using the top of a garbage can to dye the head in and i'm using roughly 2 gallons of water.

What i'm lookinging to found out is exactly,
how many packets of dye to use?
how long to leave it in the water?
Does the water have to be hot?

and any other useful tips.

there are instructions on the packets of dye about how much to use with how much water/fabric, but i would guess 2. (i dont know if you know this but use RIT dye, it works the best)

how long you leave it in the water is up to you, the longer you leave it the darker it gets, but i would just check it every 15 minutes or so and take it out when its the color you like.

yes the water should be hot when you dye the stick, it might cool off a little but it should be boiling when you put the dye in for best results.

also, there are instructions about how to use the dye on the dye packets/containers and if you still need more help go to http://www.e-lacrosse.com and either go to sticktech and scroll untill you find it or search for how to dye heads and it should come up.

1) it depends on the color, but 2 packets should be fine for 2 gallons.
2) how long you leave it in the water depends on the color and how dense you want the color.

3) YES the water MUST be hot, boiling hot.
