That's the Pro Z, low end helmet, CLH2 or Triad equivalent.

Used one for a few weeks when I first started playing lacrosse. If its cheap, it is a good pick-up. Most helmets are made to standard to take hits and what not, they arent defective or anything.

But a helmet is an investment, if you want something to last and provide the best protection, something more high end like a CPX would be a better choice.

There are a lot of kids on my team that use it on my team. I've never used one, I use a CPX. But the kids on my team really seem to like it.

Incorrect.

The ProZ was Stryke's offering to the CPro when both were released about six years ago. Stryke, a subsidiary of Warrior, even sponsored several college teams and had moderate success working as one of the first real competitors to Cascade.

It was offered for $149.99 retail--strategically $10 below the CPro--so by no means was it ever a "low-end" or affordable helmet. The helmet NEVER competed with the CLH2 in the same market niche, and neither did it compete with the Triad ST.

Critics of the ProZ cited that, although extremely similar to the CPro, it was noticeably heavier and the inner lining was no where near as comfortable. Once the CPX came out, Warrior, now owned by New Balance, along with Stryke, decided to phase out the Stryke division as a separate brand and instead released the Viking under the same name, which then led to today's Venom helmet.

After the ProZ was liquidated heavily through sales and bulk outlets, you can see them kicking around in department stores for an affordable price.
