Hello Guys, What do you guys think about the Brine Vapor? What kind of durability does it have, and how is it in games?

sick head. real strong, holds up great. i'd use it if i didnt use an edge.
Its pretty wide though so if you like a pinched head you may have to pinch it, but that shouldnt matter if you put a nice pocket in it.

Its a pretty good head. it is kinda wide so it catches prettty good but its not super wide so it has pretty good hold. i used it for almost a whole season last year until it snapped when i did that casey powell girlfriend getter move a few times so i was kinda dissapointed about the durability. (although it did hold up pretty good during the season so maybe it was just a fluke accident) i would definatley recommend it to you if your just starting off or still getting used to the game but you might wanna get a nicer one a little later. but it would probly do fine for all levels, its just you might want a stronger and more pinched one later on.

The Brine Vapor was first manufactured in 2003. Its full offset reveals the bloodlines of the Brine Edge. Ultra narrow walls give this head a very light feel. The weight range for the Vapor is about 134 grams, making it very close to the lightest head around.

Brine advertises the Vapor as a face-off head. The way the reinforcement of the side walls is designed would seem to back that claim up. It will be hard to bend this head out of shape without its wanting to return to its original shape. The old Shotgun-style holes on the top of the side helps to make the sides strong, but at the same time not particularly rigid, which gives more versatility to the potential face-off techniques used. To be a good clamping head you might want to squeeze it a little in the center. Since so many of you are "pinching" at home nowadays, remember to keep the opening at the widest point of the head at 6.5" in order to be NCAA legal.

The scoop is flat and wide in the Brine tradition of making heads that scoop really well. This also is attractive to face-off guys.

When set on the table the Vapor will rock and then come to rest with the scoop almost touching. The balance is tipped a little to the top or scoop, which may give a little harder shot.

I used a Vapor for two years and loved both its durability and versatility; it makes a good defense head and attack-oriented head. It has more than enough holes to string anything and everything a stringer's devious mind can come up with. As a coach, one of my poles exclusively used the Vapor. You could not go wrong in purchasing one of these.

Sadly, this is the type of thread that we do not like to see as they degenerate into a preference thread where you get numerous members telling you what to get and why. The information I have given you should be more than enough to go on, but if you still have questions about this, shoot me a PM and I will try and help you as much as I can.
