Hey, I was just thinking about this, and I have come up with a few new ideas. Maybe they are dumb but I just want to think what you guys think.

1. You know how when you list something on ebay, you can chose to make it so that when you scroll over the picture it will get bigger? Well maybe we could do the same with a forum picture kind of thing. Like you would scroll to the picture, and it would display the top threads. Just the titles, not the threads themselves.

2. Could there be a way to have like a place to fill in your position, age, stick, helmet, pads in your sig.? Something like a questionare (sp) that did not take up to much space? I know this is in your profile, but still this would be cool.

3. This may be wayyyy to confusing, and hard to accomplish, but could we have something in the fs/wtb forum where you would enter the person's name in the good sellers/traders list and it would automatically update? Maybe kinda like a poll? This just seems easier because you see kids on here who advertise themselves as like +15 when they are really like +5. I do this myself, I will admit it. When I do it it is because I do the deal successfully, but the other person forgets to leave feedback. So maybe there could be a forum rule to leave feedback?

Thanks,
Jake

I'm not sure I follow you on the first point, however I can provide some info on the other 2.

For signatures, as you say it's essentially already in your profile. If you wanted something like that in your signature you can always put that info there yourself provided it stays within our guidelines for signature, so there is nothing stopping you.

As for feedback, there has been talks of an eBay style feedback sytem that's been kicked around the mod forum which we are hoping will be able to remove the issues of people claiming their feedback to be something it's not whether positively or negatively. Stay tuned on that one, hopefully it is something we can implement.

ya you are right about the 2nd idea. The 1st one what i mean is it would be cool if when you scroll your mouse over the forum's name you could see the actual forum without clicking on it. I think this would be helpful to see if your thread has benn posted in without actually needing to enter the forum. for example if you go on ebay and type in lacrosse you see all the pictures of the items going down the left side of the page. Sometimes you can scroll over that picture, and it will enlarge. I think it would be cool to get something similar. OR we could use the same idea but with the thread that is the newest to be posted in. Like it already says the most recently bumped thread next to the forums name. If you could scroll over that and see a mini pic of the ENTIRE thread rather than just the beginning that would be cool.

I think NTL has a good idea, but I think your being a little lazy. It's very easy to just click on the link and check out the threads.

ya thats true, but like my internet connection is really, really slow. I don't think that I am the only one either. So it take at least 1 or 2 minutes to load up a forum

ok heres a new idea: Why don't we have a review thread in the open forum? The reviews could be on like: Movies, games, shows, tv's, electronics, cars, computers, ect.

its unlikely that we will be adding any new forums, let alone ones that arent lax specific

no, not a new forum, but a stickied thread in the open forum. just like there is a thread in the equipment forum for lax equipment reviews

As for review threads in the open forum. There are tons of professional reviews for many things out their that get discussed in the open forum, Many of which can be found on sites like metacritic, that it's really unnecessary apart from general discussion. Any reviews written would need to fall under the similar guidelines as to reviewing equipment to ensure a decent one for everyone, and as I said with a glut of professional review sites out there for movies, games, tv, music, cars, e;ectronics, etc it's far more useful to google for the reviews than wait for someone to create one here.

And we have more than enough stickies that rather than create a glut of them, the important things like the forum rules and posting guidelines are really the only stickies needed in the Open forum.

So do you think we could do my idea?
