In 2 weeks on my spring break i am going to be visiting a couple of colleges and talking to a couple coaches. My high school coach is making my highlight reel of the last couple of games this season. I was thinking about writing up a resume for the coaches. What types of things should I put on it?? Also, I was wondering what type of questions should I ask him because the admissions office is giving me a meeting with him for an hour.

If you would like to know the college just PM me.

dont bring hi-lites.
bring one entire game. hes going to want to see what you do when you dont have the ball, and what you do when you arent the center of attention

if you want to make a resume.. I would list accomplishments youve had in your high school career (AA, gb's, pts, school records.. stuff like that) and then actually, what I did, and what really seemed to impress coaches was I listed all the camps I went to, seems tacky but it shows you have a high work ethic (I would only list camps and tournys if you did a ton, I averaged like 7 or 8 summer camps and tournys every year in HS)

and spenny is right, coaches dont want to see highlight reels, bring a couple game tapes, a good one and one you dont like so much

well the game tape doesn't have me in the picture at all, when the ball is on offense. I can get a game recorded this weekend on Sunday. Should the person recording move the camera towards me every so often when the ball is on offense?

the camera should be pointed at you the whole time. the coach will want to see what you are doing when you are off ball

Before you go through the trouble of putting together a highlight or game type ask the coach first. Sometimes they don't even watch them and you are just wasting your time.

Just add your academic information to this as well. GPA, SAT, ACT, Class Rank (If you have it), and any awards/honors you have received.

I had a chance to meet some DI coaches this summer that were just as interested in my play off the ball as my play with it. As an attackmen, they told me to continue taping my games while off the ball and stressed to me the importance of my ability to cut and play on the crease.
