What does it mean to PG a Year?

TopGun mentioned in another post that it would be a good idea to consider an offer to PG a Year.

Can someone explain what that means? Personal Guarantee? Is that the same as an early commitment?

post grad. you do an extra year of HS at a private school after you graduate from your original HS. usually at a boarding school
