This is certainly putting 'Cuse at atleast #4 and with with UNC's loss to Duke today, I think that they could challenge for the #3 spot.

I'll admit, I was screaming like a child when Brooks put in the game winner, but most other 'Cuse fans probably were too. Great game for 'Cuse, and a great job by White who pretty much shut Rabil down and caused the Nims transition goal to force OT, Leveille who leads the team week in and week out, Galloway for not hanging his head after a rough couple of shots he probably should have saved and sticking in there, and by ESPNU for not blaring the Hopkins fight song after every goal.

This kid White is a great story. Last year he had over 100 points as a middie in high school, this year he shut down Paul Rabil.

Hopkins blew the game for themselves

actually i think i speak for myself and most(at least) of the 'Cuse fans/ some hopkins fans, 'Cuse won the game, Hopkins didnt lose it(some will understand what im saying some will not) basically what i am saying is, SU fought extremely hard for the points they got. It was a great game.

I was at the game, and I have to say, I was impressed with syracuses play. They were quick on there breaks, and controlled the ball nicely. They never gave up on the game, even when they were down a few. Hopkins might have coasted a bit when they were up with a few minutes left...but cuse scored late to tie it. I have the game winning goal on tape, I took it with my digital camera, so Ill see if I can upload it on youtube, and put the link up here...but overall, fantastic game...the atmosphere was amazing. I walked around for a bit, talked to the stx reps (who were real nice and gcool to talk with). I also thought it was cool to go up behind the bench, watch the game, and be so close to the players. It was a great experience...(it was my first hopkins game)

I was at this game, too, and was surprised Homewood wasn't packed to five or six deep standing around the fences and clogging the aisles. Syracuse is definitely going to move up to No. 3 ... and after the Virginia-Duke game, probably higher. I agree White is going to be a sensation, I will also give John Galloway another pat on the back. The man is gutsy, quick, and just may be destined for "freshman goalie of the year" honors. I've seen him in two BIG games now, against Virginia and Hopkins ... impressive, the whole package. Brooks (4g) and Leveille (3g/3a) were what we all thought they'd be, but hello Jovan Miller ... great work, far more impactful than his 2 goals.

Hopkins was just as impressive however, and definitely had its chances to pull this one out. I liked the contributions from so many players ... Huntley had 4 goals and Peyser 2, but seven others punched in goals. That deep scoring roster is what ultimately led the Blue Jays to the 2007 NCAA title. Gvozden recorded more saves than Galloway, and Hopkins won the ground ball battle with Peyser (10) and LSM Bocklet (7) -- my favorite defensive player on the field -- leading the way. Despite the two straight overtime losses, the Blue Jays are as dangerous as ever. The scary thing is both teams have plenty of time to improve before the NCAAs. To me, this game didn't prove one team is better than the other ... only that both have a realistic shot to be playing in Foxboro during Memorial Day weekend.
