Will a lens that works on a canon rebel ti (35mm) work on a canon rebel digital or a nikon d-70?

I'm not quite sure it will. You'd think the Canon lenses would be interchangable, but film to digital? Never thought about it.

yeah...it's from this.... http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/75/08/45/80/0075084580999_215X215.jpg to this http://www.dcam.ru/upimg/Canon-EOS-300D-Kit-1714.jpg
I am assuming they are interchangeable because I did a search on ebay for the rebel digital and one of the package deals included the same telephoto i have for my ti. I don't think they would include a lens that doesn't work on the camera, especially when it's such a prestigious seller.

yeah. My parents will be buying me an ipod for christmas if im lucky. and that's about it. I buy myself almost everything that I have. I just really want a digital rebel, but it's not needed. I do, however, need a laptop for college, so I'm saving, and selling my current imac in order to get it. and no, im not an only child. I have a 21 year old sister.

I'd put a down payment on a car, if 3G is enough for that. But get an ipod, you should spoil yourself sometimes.

the lenses will work...
I am saving for a dig SLR myself...Ive taken some nice shots with my old SLR and dont want to lose the $900 in lenses to switch to digital..so I must wait until my minolta dig SLR comes down in price

actually the best thing to do with $3,000 is invest it in something that will give you a steady 6% return (you might have to sacrifice liquidity).
If you can add maybe say $500 every year to this investment your money will really add up in 10 years and you should be able to buy whatever the heck you want.
but nevermind all that, I dont wanna go off topic

yeah i figure by the time I have the money to buy the digital rebel I'll be able to find it cheaper. That's my way of thinking for my BMW M coupe also.

Yes an EOS lens will work with all EOS cameras. I have a Rebel G2 now and also want a Digital Rebel. I'm saving up for it and I might try and find it cheap at christmas time and get it.
