This is a silly question but I have never been to one of these and am interested in becoming a coach after I am out of college. Anyways I have one question, while attending this convention when the speaker say demonstrates a basic zone defense, do they give you the handouts or do you have to pay seperatly for them? I know that the registration fee is $100 and I saw that you can literally buy every single handout for $240 but im wondering, do you have to pay that $240 or by going and paying the $100 do I get all those handouts for free? This is something I have been wondering and am hoping to go to the convention next year

Some give handouts, some don't. Its all up to them. The $100 gets you in the door, a name tag, a bag of goodies, and a schedule of the events. The $240, I believe, gets you the CD-Rom. Only problem is, if the presenter failed to turn in his materials, then you only hear their voice on the CD. Very dissapointing when the coach is saying "if he goes here, this guys slides." Your on the other end going, "if who goes where, which guy slides?"

I think it's worse when they submit incomplete material. For instance I have a set from 2006 where they submitted what appears to be a powerpoint or something, only it doesn't include the images it references. Or when they just submit a powerpoint outline where the major talking points are included and nothing else. It's hit or miss generally, but for the most part it's worth the investment I've found. The videos of the live demos were great and I use all the stuff from them every day in practice almost.

They're included with the package. You can choose what you want to buy such as just the videos, just the discussions, both. Goes for both genders, and you can also get the super deluxo package of everything for men's and women's.
