Hey, I just started playing goalie and I like it a lot, so I was looking to buy a goalie stick since I had just been using a team one. Im going to have it strung by a local lacrosse store and I was wondering what kind of things I should tell them about how I want it strung. Thank You.
PS- Of the cheaper goalie heads(ex. abyss 2.0, goalmaster, and money) what are the pros and cons of each.

of the cheap heads youve listed, i've used an abyss and an abyss 2.0 and highly recommend both. as for stringing ask for 12d which is a popular choice among many goalies, and for a decent channel (which they should do anyways)

get goalmaster. and 12D mesh. or if u want to have best head in the game for a good price get Eclipse and you wont ever use a different head again.

correction, the eclipse is a popular goalie head. there's no such thing as the "best" head, for any position.

my friend had a money and he liked it alot and a nemisas is really nice and not to expensive. and i say soft mesh for easier catching. and less rebounds

I like the Money as well. My eclipse broke and I had it as a backup but I like the money ten times better. This is the head I would recomend to a friend just starting out.
Also as far as mesh goes: soft mesh for less rebounds but harder to pass with. Hard mesh has more rebounds but throws way better.
Most goalies start with soft mesh

Avoid the goalmaster- never been worth it in my mind.
The Abyss works best on the STX 2-degree crankshaft. Great combo.
With any of them, go for mid-monster (14-diamond mesh). Best rebound control of any mesh I've ever used.
