Chances are if NCAA banned 'em NFHS will follow suit. Just put tape over the cap.

just take a beer cap and stick it on the end of stick and sort of pound it on the ground until the cap sticks there... and then tape around it

E lacrosse sucks at explaining it. Put the cap there, put some tape around it so it stays, then find a piece of metal or cement and hit the end where the bottle cap it so it becomes the shape of your shaft. Then put more tape on. DB803 shafts are hard to put one on, you need a pair of pliers to pull two of the sides out a little bit, then do the same as with any other shaft. Bottle caps are 100 times better than enything else, I love mine! (sorry, I dont have pics though)

From the way its worded I'm wondering if the 20oz. soda bottle caps are legal. They're plastic so I would think they are.

the 20 oz. plastic bottle caps will work. i would post a rule reference but it's too late.

EDIT: found it in the other thread:

Put the cap on and then tape it there. If you have to run some tape over the face of the bottle cap

so waht does "adequately" imply? one strip over it, or so much that you cant see it? just wondering cuz i have a cap on one of my stick and ddont want to get a 3 minute penalty because its not considered "adequately covered"

It is a judgement call and if you showed a stick to 10 refs, 5 might say okay, 5 might not. If you're worried the best thing you can do is show it to them before the game.

The intent of the rule is one of safety. If that bottle cap is made of metal and might cause injury to another player or that player, it should be illegal. If you show it to the official before the game you should receive a ruling at that minute. You can take corrective action at that point if needed.
