I love my Eraser, I don't know why people are complaining so much about feeling the hit... With every CP I feel the dang ball. I like the foam in the eraser because it deadens the ball, why would you buy a hard plastic CP? Hard plastic makes the ball go flying out for a rebound, AND hard plastic hurts more then soft memory foam... Would you rather drop a 25lb weight on your foot when your foot has a hard cover book over it? or if your foot is wrapped with thick memory foam?

I would go eraser, I love mine, much much more comfortable

i know this is a preference "should i buy thread...." but with my experience the eraser is good but you should see if you can get a reebok cp. they are the most mobile on the market{while still protecting} plus the 5k is only like 40 bucks. reebok is the way to go

yeah, I got a 5K for this season, and I was a little curious if it was a good purchase after reading around on the forums, but it has definitely proven itself for me so far. I would look into it as well

Been happy with the Eraser this season so far. Shots off of it do not rebound at all. I don't feel anything when I get hit.

Still snag my throat protector on the neck roll for the first 5-10 minutes, then that goes away; otherwise, a great CP.

the throat protector is not a problem for me once i put it on with the screws{used leathers before} but the rbk 9k is 3 pieces the center piece is hard plastic with memory foam behind it. it does not restrict the shoulders in any way.

I've always used the screws since switching to a CPX.

i like my maverick dynasty it protects well and it deadens the ball when it hits and i barely feel anything when it hits and it doesn't restrict at all ... my clears got 20-25 feet longer when i got it

I like the maverick also, strong, can't feel a shot, feels like nothing is on, doesn't restrict arms.

The maverik is lighter and lower profile. i've never taken shots in the eraser, but in the Maverik, you honestly can't feel a thing. I personally find the shoulders a tad bit restrictive, but in general, I'd choose the Mav for the weight, protection, and low profile ove the eraser.
