I have tried to search but had some issues.

Basically, everytime I try to video chat with my friends, I get a message that says there was an error because there was no response from the other user's computer or something like that.

I am using a Netgear Router, WGT624 v2, and I've tried a bunch of different things.

Also, when I first got a Mac a couple weeks ago, it worked fine, however I have only ever video chatted with one person, on a few occasions.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? This is getting a bit frustrating.
Thanks

EDIT:
(Mods, I just realized i spelled "mac" as "mach", can you please fix that?)

It means that they aren't accepting your chat invitation, or they don't have a video chat thing set up.

no, they accept it but it says there is a server error. and they do have the video chat set up, its some problem with my network or my connection.

I have a macbook(am am on it right now) and I don't use ichat. I use either yahoo messenger for mac or AIM for mac. On yahoo messenger you can use a web cam (the built in one on the macbook).

it has to do with the bandwidth being used by your router, the speed of internet, and router firewalls.

last year i could never video chat because of the dorms. this year my router that we use at my house is constantly having 4-6 people online. I sit in my living room and pick up the neighbors wireless and i can video chat just fine. i'm not quite sure what the problem is with that i'll keep trying to remember what i've done in the past to fix the problem
