This is my homemade pole woody, sorry mods about the tag, but i didn't know which one to use... Anyway just figured I'd post it it is Birch im pretty sure with three coats of polyurethane.

That's a nice one. Take that rubber buttend off and put a nice tape one on. Nice job.

Looks nice. I wish I had saved some of my wood for a pole, but I just made shorties instead. Mine would have been over 24 ounces though due to the wood I used.
BTW, do you live in a prison? You could use some photos or something on your wall.

Haha, fortunately i am not living in a prison, and i do have pictures on my walls they're just above the bed out of the pics. It took me like 20 minutes to cut the wood and everything, and then i sanded it for like 2 hours, but not all at once, thats why it looks glassy, and it has polyurethane on it also. Its a pole, but it isn't floppy at all, but it does flex if you put al your weight on it. I do not plan on selling them, because i don't really have time, or the materials either. I think that covered all the questions above, soo yeah

wow man that looks really nice, especially with three coats of poly. What grit sand paper did you use? I think thats the first birch woody ive seen on here, most are oak and hickory.

I'm pretty sure it was 220 grit
