Ok so I was watching the 2003 championship game UVA vs. Hopkins and i noticed that matt ward was wearing the douglas football rib pads. What I think is that rib pads are for wimps. And football pads are actually illegal for NFHS lacrosse, so, that's a legit reason. But, Matt Ward is pretty cool, I must say.

i wear rib pads but i dont see what would be wong with wereing those so i guess its alright sense its legal

i wear rip pads in indoor, but not too mcuh in feild. i dnt see why they'ed be illeagal, unless there was some rule agianst it. ask they gusy in the rules forum...they'ed probably have a good idea.

football rib pads are alot stiffer, atleast mine are compared to my lax 1's, but i dont even wear them..i dont c y it would b illegal

I dont think that they would be illegal, but they look like they have a lot more padding and wouldnt be as flexible.

i would have to assume they make rib pads especially for lacrosse for a reason...

to start off, i dont wear rib pads. but at the highschool lacrosse camp/weight training week, a kid on my team got hit in the ribs. He was'nt wearing rib pads. He broke 3 ribs and punctured his lung, he was rushed to the emergency room, and he cant play this up coming season because he is still recovering. The stereotype answer when asked about rib pads is that its all for wimps. I dont completly agree with that.
....Never the less, i dont wear rib pads and never will.

man, wouldnt that look bad a** if you had one of the douglas butterfly neck things in lacrosse, HAHAHAHA. actaully it would look very retarded
