ok, so recently, my mic stopped working. apparently, the connection (its the wired one that comes in the box) is bad. now i NEED a new one.

i was looking at the logitech cordless one because it seems almost just like the official xbox 360 one, but nicer. the thing is, it says its for the original xbox. my question is can you still use it for the xbox 360?

if not, does anyone know of or have any unofficial xbox 360 headsets?

No, you cannot use it because on the Xbox 360 controller, there is no room for the big adapter that it has.

On the original Xbox controller, there were those big fat holes to put memory cards and xbox live headset adapters. On the Xbox 360 controller, there is only one little socket to put it in--no big fat holes to put the adapter in. Therefore, you cannot use the cordless because it won't have an adapter to actually sync it too.

Basically go to Circuit city and by the wired one that originally came with the xbox (thats the best one, yes they do die after awhile, but its only $20...)

you could buy the wirless xbox 360 one, only problem with those, is that:
1. they lag (meaning, when you talk, others don't hear it until like a couple of seconds later),
2. you have to charge it
3. and you have to sync it to your controller--which is the same thing as syncing your controller to the xbox 360 (the little buttons with waves on them), Only problem is, sometimes they just disconnect on their own. During a game, my friends wirless mic just disconnects all the time
4. plus the sound quality isn't as great because its wireless
5. It's like $60, you can buy 3 normal ones for that...
6. The only upside to it is that it is wirless and you don't have that thing going over your head, but if your looking for quality, durability, and functionality, the wireless headset is NOT for you. It only has comfort going for it.

Why are my bloody posts being deleted! This is ridiculous, I'm giving MACDADDY suggestions!

As I was saying for the THIRD time, there are a whole bunch of pairs on Ebay from Japan or something that are very nice. I have a pair that cost me about $10 with shipping (they're the big stereo headphones) and they work great and have been for about 5 months.

PM me if you'd like more info.

I'll PM you the link. They aren't made by Microsoft but look like they are. But yeah, like I said they're awesome and the only problem I have with them is that sometimes you have to talk a little loud for the mic to trigger, but it's no big deal.
