Well, after weeks of deliberation, I have finally chosen to act on an idea I had awhile back. Since the old chat-room we had was a bust and never had any users on, why not make a chat-thread? Here you can post whatever you want (within site guidlines) as long as it is somehow correlated to the current topic. Thus within a few posts you will be on a new topic, but won't be like "were did THAT come from?" Just chat like you would in a normal conversation and do not be afraid to go off an a tangent. But here are a few rules outside the site guidlines to be followed here.

No short posts where you have to add in the now infamous "extra words" or it is subject to ridicule

No calling people n00bs

AND, you must not be overcome by Enjoi's iron-fist of ipodium. *enjoilax4ever"

So... I'll start us off with... umm... Why do yall believe leperchauns hide their gold at the end of a rainbow when a rainbow in fact has no end because it is an optical illusion played on the eyes as light rays are refracted through the watervapor in the air. Thus does this mean there really is no pot of gold? and if this is so, how will the leperchaun ever be lucky? couldn't they have died out from being UN-lucky because there is no "end of the rainbow" to place their gold? Now here is the kicker, are there still leperchauns out there today in hunt for a tangible rainbow to stow their shiny yellow coins?

now to the leperchaun question:

I would have to say, Leprauchans are the wise men of today's society challenging us to do the impossible. Plus they're midgits who are green and drink jin, which rules...
and maybe the whole pot of gold is a myth, they probably hide all their gold somewhere else, and hope people try and search for the end of the rainbow and the leperchauns sit back and laugh at all that try. I mean if they do have gold, they got to be rich.

I havent used IRC in about 10 years...doubt if I remember how to do it...so would i be a newb or an oldschooloutoftouch person...
wow...internet has come a long way from 10 years ago...why i remember back in the day its main use was easy porn...oh wait...that hasnt changed...

but what i do find amazing is the social impact it has played in the world with the easy exchange of ideas and connecting of people in certain lifestyles (lax), who might not have been able to find others to discuss the same topics...to those young peepl out there who have only seen the internet as it is what are your thoughts on it...

Well i haven't been using it since the begining so i guess i can answer.

I started using it in 2000 w/ Compuserve (WOO WOO! GO 56k go!)
And it sucked, so slow, blech.
Anyways, i blame the internet for my disturbing interest in computers. Honestly.

Internet has replaced TV and to a certain extent gaming.

Being the history buff i am though i am highly interested in the old Newsgroups and NNTP servers of old.

Thats where i got Godwin's law from.
