High or low dunks?

Well I'll be getting some custom dunks soon. Color scheme is going to be white everything, with black laces, black liner, and black swoosh. Except, I can't decide on the model to get.

Now spring is aproaching, and I'm generally a shorts kind of guy. Maybe once a week I'll wear jeans. I was set on the highs untill I started thinkin' about how they'd look with shorts. And thats leads me to my question...

With shorts, would the highs make me look dumb/wangsterish?
If you guys have any pics of you rockin' some high tops with shorts, it'd be chill if you threw 'em out there.


I like the look of the highs a lot more, but really do not want to end up lookin' like a fool when I'm wearing shorts, or even worse, a wigger. Aha.

Why not get a pair of each? I think High Dunks would not look the greatest with shorts, and for that reason I'd look into Lows.

Custom they're going to run me 'bout 120-125 shipped, depending on which pair I get.

I'll be paying for these, and being a lax-addicted teenager doesn't usually leave me with much spare cash. I'd love to pick up a pair of each, but its really not an option.

Why not wear different shoes with shorts?

Thats the thing. I wear shorts 90% of the time, and couldn't justify buying those shoes to only wear on the rare occasions that I'll wear pants.


I'm sort of scared for the fact that #3 is the most choosen option.

The colors will be a problem with the high tops. I know I usually go with a low-mid with shorts, like vans slip ons or nb 574's. Recently bought some camo chucks though which are high tops, and they have matched with every pair of shorts I have worn so far. However they are a mix of grays, which doesn't match anything, but goes with everything. I would get a 3/4 dunk rather than a full high top or lowtop. Look into that. Or go with some different colors.

Most people look like tools with highs. I've got a couple of pairs of lows, and I wouldn't get anything else.

laolax has it right...go with mids. no matter what your wearing, go with mids haha. Mids are better than highs and lows.

I have high dunks, and my only complaint is that they're hard to get on and off sometimes. That might just be me, because I like my shoes tied pretty tight. But if you ever need to get your shoes on or off quickly, I wouldn't recommend highs.

Go with the mid's. You won't look like a fool with them being too high and they are a little more flashy and less boring than low's. I rock some peacocks and they can really turn heads.

Mids don't seem to be an option. Atleast I didn't see it as one on nikes site, or anywhere I looked.

It really depends which dunk you get, but based on yours I'd go with lows.

Id say low. I'm not really into dunks, everyone has the same pairs. After your dunks, you should get air max's.

yeah dunk highs look sick if your one of those kids with stick legs that can wear skinny jeans, they look legit with shorts too you gotta have some hotness like dunk sb mids- guns n roses edition... or for love or money- my 2 favorite pairs i got right now
