Here in Edmonton, there has been like no snow. Usualy there is like 2-3 feet of snow now...but it snowed in like September, and well that snow is still here, but now it's just all ice.

We had a hurricane day this year. Snow days aren't that common in GA. We get one a year.

ok where do you live in Michigan, I live in the south east part (macomb township) and we got a little storm, enough to get me wet and cold, and just cover the ground, you must be a youper, cause we got maybe a quarter inch, if that.

Mmm down here in grayslake, Illinois (Thats northern Illinois btw) we haven't had a snow day in 23 years. Our schools proud of it. We had about 2 feet of snow on the ground once and they said sorry, no deal, the buses can still move. My mom refused to let me go out though so I got to stay in. w00t.

you mean you only live over there? That's sweet, always glad to see fellow michiganders on TLF, probably no lacrosse in the UP, just hunters, fishers, and crazy mountainbikers (I wanna go!). Michigan weather sucks for lacrosse, cold all march and some of april, then hot as balls for the rest of the summer, unless its a cool summer like this year.

What school do you go to. Mine always depends on if the school next to us gets closed. We get quite a few. Almost went over the limit last year. Probably because we wasted one when a "huge" hurricane was coming I forget which one but it was big in like florida but needless to say it was a nice warm sunny day off from school. Unfortunatly, none so far. But we usually don't start to have them untill january.

you, my friend, have obviously never experianced a "nor' easter." a few of these a year and u will b singing a different tune. imagine youre snowblower breaks. 3 feet of snow to be shoveled on a uberhuge driveway when its not only -10 its windy. and guess what!!??? as soon as you're inside and just *starting* to warm up-you have 3 more feet of snow to shovel!! yay!! believe me-spend a few winters in upstate ny or anywhere up north and combine all the aforementioned factors with the fact that its uber hard to find a place to play lacrosse.

o yeah-did i mention that whilst you shovel you must remember to through the snow far out so that it doesnt pile up close to teh driveway cuz u gotta have room to put all the other snow that is eminent(sp?). plus u cant let it get to high at the end of youre driveway or u cant see when getting out.

and two words: SNOW PLOW
annnnd two more words: WET SNOW

so basically, NO you DO NOT wish it snowed. trust me on this one.

I've got a house in upstate NY. The first winter up there we didnt really understand the whole "massive snowfall" thing. So i figured i would shovel the driveway. Ha. Ha. Ha. We get someone with a snowplow to do it now.

eh, still, with sniper days, everyone stays inside and worries, but with hurricane days we go play in the rain and go mud sliding and play mud football. all in the stinging rain and ridiculously high winds.

What are you kidding. We were chillin that whole time. No one was really afraid. What did 6 people get shot? We all figured they chances were nill if we stayed away from gas stations. All that happened was lacrosse and sleep. The first one in MD was about a mile from my house, so looking back i guess it was pretty stupid to go out. Eh. But in a hurricane your house gets wrecked, town trashed, people drown and stuff. This would make a good poll: Snow day, Hurricane, or Sniper on the loose.
