Hey Guys, i know i posted this somewhere else, but i put it in the wrong catagory, so i figured that i would get more responses here, and i realize that this is a preference thread, but im not using it that way, im seeing what people, that's you guys, think are quality products so i can make the right decision on what to buy for my new pads that i really want to last me through the rest of highschool, i also realize that this is a VERY long thread and i doubt most of you will read all of this, let alone, take the time to respond with the most accurate information you can give us all about your opinions on these products, but please be the one who stands out and responds to my extremely long thread, it would be greatly appreciated, if you want to get to me quicker, please email me or IM me at the address or screen name at the end of this thread. Please answer to the best of your knowledge.

I'm going to give you some background so you can understand me a little better. My name is Sean Moser, im a Sophomore at Lafayette Senior Highschool in Wildwood, MO. I have a lot to say and i need a lot of input, im willing to spend a lot of money to get what i need to succeed, so anything you think i would need, tell me, either on here, or on my email address at the end of the post, email would be a bit faster for me to respond with questions or comments to praise on your well-inputed advice, haha, i also have my AIM screen name at the bottom, as i already told you, im usually always online, but that doesnt always mean im at my laptop, so please be patient if i dont respond right away, thanks, i think you should put it on here also if you are going to email or IM me so that other players can read your input, please take sometime and help me out, i promise you'll all see me at duke, virginia, hopkins, or maryland, im a great player and i already have a scholarship offer to daytona even though im only a sophomore. So please take some time and help me out, all input is greatly appreciated,

im really trying to make this a quality thread that anyone can post anything about attack (or other positions i guess) lacrosse equipment to help everyone out a lot with there decisions on buying, im not really an impulse buyer, i like to get a lot of opinions first, and i mean a lot, so please, everyone take a minute to answer my questions, or even just one if that is the only time you have, thanks

I have a brine truth head on a Swizzle TI but i lent my back up stick to a teammate and he broke my razer 2.0, i was wondering what kind of head people like yourself would recommend for a starting X-Man attack guy, something that would fit well with a Harrow Howitzer or a Brine Python shaft (i also have 2 basic STX aluminum shafts that work if i need to use those for it to fit, and if you have any suggestions on new shafts that would be really light weighted and that hold up to being slashed at a million times a game that be great also), i have both, i would rather use the Harrow, i like it better. I have found a few that i think i like, but if you have any others or some on my list that you would recommend that'd be great, plus i love players pocket hard mesh, and i use custom stringing that my friend taught me, plus i throw in some ideas that i get off of this forum website, so stuff that would work with hard mesh or if you have a different head that would work better with a different type of mesh or stringing style like landing strip (i realize its hard to string, and im not a beginner at stringing, but, if you have a tutorial you could post as well or if there is one already posted on these forums, if you could give me the link to that, it'd be great) thanks:

(im not sure which of these are specialized for attackmen, but i was just looking on lacrosse.com for all of the ones ive heard of or heard stuff about...)

Brine:
Clutch
Answer
E3
Swerve
Voyce
Truth (I have this one on a Swizzle TI head and i really like it)

Gait:
Recon TI
Torque
Torque Pro
Triton

STX:
Bionic
Duece
K18
G22
Kannon
Primer
Profile
Proton
Proton Power
X3

Warrior:
Blade Face Off (Im not sure what this is, but ive never seen it before, anyone know what its used for? haha)
Evo Pro
Evolution 2.0
Helix
Mojo
Revo Pro
Revolution 2.0
Stiffi (i really like the look of this but i havent heard how good it is because none of my teammates have it, anyone have a review?)

Also im looking for new gloves and arm pads (both of mine have ripped and im playing with them taped to me, haha),

ive looked at gloves like the Brine Deft and Brine King, reviews on those would be great, most of my teammates play with the Deft but ive tried some one and im not so wild about em, i didnt know if they loosened up as your break them in or not, so recommendations on those and any other good attack gloves would be great,

Also recommendations for arm pads for, again, a starting attackman that usually plays the whole game, would be great also. i would rather use something smaller on my arm pads because right now i have the Brine SuperCross AG, but i think its a little bulky for me running around the entire game constantly having to pass and catch, plus ive lost some weight and they are a little big on me so i need to get some new ones anyways. i was looking at the Brine Matrix, STX K18, didn't know if those were any good or if you had any ideas.

Ok, more, my shoulder pads are also a bit bulky for backing up the cage, its just a preference i have for shoulder pads that dont really bend OVER the shoulder, really i like the ones that just stay on the top and point straight out, i was wondering if the Brine LoPro SP or the Mikey Powell Collection Shoulder Pads the Exodus SP i think its called are any good, or if you have any other recommendations on shoulder pads like that or you think im being stupid for not getting enough protection, any input would be great.

Also i was wondering if you think an attackman would be better protected with rib pads and if it would conflict with constant movement and bending over for missed shots and riding the defense on clears and stuff, and which ones you think are good that will last a long time

im really looking for stuff that will last at least through highschool and then when i go to college if i play more i might want to get new equipment then.
thanks

i know this is A LOT to ask for you guys to read all this and put in your opinions but it really means a lot to me because my pads have recently broken seeing as how ive been playing with all of them since 5th grade (I'm a Sophomore in Highschool), i play on Varsity for my team and we have made it to State the past 7 years and won 5 of them, so we are a pretty great team and its an honor to play on Varsity with this great team, and seeing that most of my team (24 out of the 32 on our Varsity team are seniors) are leaving after this year, 22 out of the 24 with scholarships to dayton, virginia, maryland, john hopkins, and many other great schools, so i believe that i will be recruited as well to a school that is well placed in college lacrosse, i really love watching and i see many of my former teammates on some of those teams, so i think i need some good pads to get me throught the rest of my highschool career, AT LEAST through my highschool career . Thanks, you can email me faster than using this at chillaxin171@yahoo.com or AIM - chillaxin162

i am deeply grateful for any and all of you that read this, and i praise all of you that give input on any or all of the topics that i need help with.

also if you know of any not-so-common online lacrosse stores that would give me a good deal without killing me on the shipping cost, that'd be great, i already know about stringersshack, jimalax, lacrosse.com, and laxworld.com, so if there are any others that you know of, that'd be great, thanks, and i really do appreciate you guys reading all of this especially the ones that are about to make a few remarks of input, remember that i am willing to spend a lot of money, but i want to know that im getting a good product, thanks for all of your help guys

please, if you know what you are talking about with lacrosse attack equipment, take some time, help a fellow lacrosse player out, lacrosse truly is the best sport on the planet.

Your Teammate in Spirit,
-Sean, #17

I'm sorry to say this, but this is the biggest preference thread I've ever seen. Even though you tried making it not a preference thread, it is.

The only advice I can give you is use what YOU like. Different heads work for different people. There is no special "x-attackmen head for a sophomore kid that plays in Lafayette, MO." Sorry dude. If you really like your truth on Swizzle Ti, then keep using that. No reason to change if you like it so much.

don't spend a lot of money just because. i got the new k18 ELBOW pads and i am attack. ya, i get banged up but not that bad. it is easier for me to shoot. personally, i hate bulky pads even though i am attack. also, if you are not that good, wait until you are good to start getting into the expensive equipment.

This fellow right here summed it up the best.

We can't tell you what you should get. We absolutely can't. Just read reviews, read up on the attributes of each piece of equipment you're interested in, and most importantly, try out the gear yourself!
