Hopkins @ Duke...Rematch of last year? I think not.
UVA @ UNC...I really like what UNC can do and their solid game at every position. UVA has loads of firepower...I think UNC takes it
Denver/ND has potential to be a good game to watch
Previews coming tomorrow.

game of the week is UNC vs UVA that should be a great game. Zimmerman(spelling) is on fire and should put up a fight against Uva
Also I am interested to see Duke vs hopkins. It just seems like rivalry game. Faced 4 times in Duke's last two seasons and duke is 1-4 in the games. Duke might want to prove something against them even if hopkins is 3-4.

Both good points...I just had to comment on this one.
I think coach Danowski is a laid back guy, but I can see him telling his players to go out, have fun, and get all the revenge they want.
If Duke starts to run away with it, I don't think they'll let up.

Nothing for D3? I don't think it is the game of the week, but Gettysburg vs. Washington College is going to be a good game. The game of the week will be UNC vs UVA, I say UVA takes coming off the loss to MD, they will be fired up.

You are correct that the Gettysburg/WAC game will be a good one.
I just can't list all of the games and stick to what more are interested (no offense to D3...just a cold fact)
p.s. I am picking the Bullets in a close one for this game.

a navy win this weekend would be huge, and would scramble the rankings even more then they are right now.

Standing at 18-8 with four down in overtime. Man, it's getting tough. Almost decided to pick the Princeton-Syracuse rivalry game Saturday, but couldn't pass on the Orange at Cornell.
1. Virginia @ Carolina -- I think this will be the best game of the weekend. Virginia's lightning speed on offense vs. Grant Zimmerman and an improving Carolina stop squad. Clash of the Titan midfields. Monumental face-off battle. John Haus vs. Dom Starsia. This game's got it all. -- Virginia 12-11
2. Navy @ Maryland -- a throwback to the rugged days when games were decided by one goal in a haze of dust, blood and glory. Maryland won last year 8-7 in double overtime. Navy won the three before that by a combined score of 25-20. Maryland won four straight by identical 6-5 scores from 1999-02. Seven of the last nine have been decided by one goal. And the last time either team scored more than 10 goals against the other, most of the players who will take the field at Byrd Stadium Friday night were getting ready to graduate … from elementary school … (copied from my post on this game last year, but added the 2007 result). More often than not, I think this is the most physical game of the season -- Maryland 12-9
3. Syracuse @ Cornell -- Huge for both programs. Syracuse looks deeper, but Cornell has weapons, too, and home field. Still, can't overlook the 13.16 to 7.75 scoring margin (+5.41 compared to Cornell‘s +4.57), face-off win percentage (.614 to .585), and ground balls average (38.6 to 33.4) advantages for the Orange -- Syracuse 12-10
4. Denver @ Notre Dame -- If the Irish win this one, they own the GWLL. But I can see the Pioneers putting up a good fight. In the end, I've got to go with Joey Kemp in cage and the Irish defense as the difference. I think this belongs on the "upset watch" list though -- Notre Dame 12-9

ha just noticed JDturtle ahs every team winning with 12 goals. interesting
ill steal his Format...
I too had UVA v. UNC as my top game. Zimmerman is on fire and shows no sign of weakness. but this is interesting because UVA is a very sharpshooting team that lives in the corners of the net. The UVA defense worrys me because of their performance at MD. But they may have worked out the kinks by now. well see. while UNC has only gotten better and it still on that ladder to ebing possibly the Top defense in the country.(wont happen, but you get the general trend of their progress) UNC coming off a great win over JHU and UVA coming off a pretty bad loss to MD. will be a fun one.
ive got UNC in this one 13-10
I suppose ill do one more with my favorite team Duke. why not haha. okay well ehres what i got, and no i wont give a biased opinion. ive predicted my fave team to lose before and ill do it again.
but not this time...
JHU v. Duke. Posibly the Biggest Rivalry in the past 3-4 years. in the past 2 they have played each toehr 4 times i believe. and duke is down 1-3. including a nat'l championship. Now Duke as people would expect is at their winning ways but JHU is playing uncharacteristicaly and is at a record of 3-4 with 4 staright losses. 3 of which were OT losses. Now that is heartbreaking. While Duke with only one loss against G-Town, hanst been on the tough road that JHU has. the mid lines are gonna be deadlocked. both teams have insane shooters on that midfield. Defense JHU has had difficulyt in communication or SOMETHING. because they just arent getting the job done. and with the problem at goalie they are having now. duke SHOULD(emphasis on should) have a field day. But we have to remember last year, JHU had 4 losses then went on a 9-0 run to the nat'l championship. though the difference is last year im Pretty sure(not 100% but pretty sure) they never went below .500. should be fun, but duke comes out in the end victorious.
Duke 17-12
note that this could be worse if duke gets ahead early. because once duke gets ahead, this rivalry is so hot, they wont stop. they will just pile it on.

The game of the week will be UNC vs UVA, I say UVA takes coming off the loss to MD, they will be fired up.Gettysburg will be pumped up after losing to Salisbury. They were up 7-2 at halftime then only scored one in the second half. WAC is undefeated, so they'll be pumped too. Should be a great game.
For game of the week, I'm thinking Duke vs. Hopkins. Can you say payback?

Haha no offense taken i was just throwing that out there. I don't know if Gettysburg will come out on top though they will definitely be pumped up, but WC wants to keep the perfect season. It will definitely be a good game.

Woa ... you're right QBYattackmen15 ... just been an all-round weird day, funny though. But I'll let 'em stick ... almost pulled the Terps down to 11 after I saw your note, though :-) Navy's defense is that good for sure.

Navy will really try to slow the game down, much like UMBC did to the Terps. I do think the Terps just have more fire power and a real solid D to go with that. Maryland scores more transition goals and wins by 3 (10 - 7):agree:

OK...I REALLY don't understand HOW Hopkins/Duke has votes for GOW...
I wrote up UVA/UNC when the voting was tied. I'll see if I can get to Hop/Duke
For now...here is the details on UVA/UNC...bottom line is this Wahoos cry BooHoo on their trip home after a 12-9 loss to UNC
http://laxspot.com/blogs/thoughts_from_a_dinosaur/index.php?pst_id=100213
MD/Navy...Sorry but I think MD is too much for Navy to handle. MD has a solid D, and their offense has impressed me this year. If they beat UVA 13-7, I say they take it to Navy by at LEAST this...more like 11-5
Cornell/Cuse...I'll be there with full post game report...going in, I am not expecting much from Cornell. I had high hopes for htem at the start, but I just don't see it right now. On the other hand Cuse is going on all cylinders right now. Cuse 15-11
