yea i was just wondering who here played on north carolina teams. i played for broughton last year. it was are first year and we did alright. well just tell me the school you play for.

And Chapel Hill took the title in 2003....country day?

yea im positive country day won state, but i think theres 2 or more state titles for different leagues, one involves only private schools i think, which is country day. thats my guess.

You have to elaboraite *sp?* on country day.. nearly every county/city has its own country day privite school, and yes there is a division for the privite schools, one for public 4A schools and one for publich 3A-2A schools... I play for RJ Reynolds over in winston...

will be playing for EAST CHAPEL HILL varsity this year. hopefully looking to repeat, it will be tough though, check out rhs-lacrosse.com for more talk about Highschool lacrosse in NC. THere is lots of debate on their forumn which is usually interesting.

BTW. there is now a private school chapiom, 4A state champion (east will be in this because they are moving up next year) and a 2A/3A state champion as far as i know.

Edit: And yeah, Charlotte Country Day is pretty sick. Charlotte turns out some good teams, not just in HS.

if yall are lookin for a place to play lacrosse in college outside of d1/d2/d3, NC State has a team.
We're always lookin for new kids, its a lot of fun. We don't give scholarships or anything, its a club sport and does in fact cost money to play, but if you like lacrosse and end up comin here anyway, its always another chance to play.

Charlotte Country Day School was state champions last year. I can't tell you what league we're in, but we did win states against Cardinal Gibbons. We've lost to McCallie, Chapel Hill(2OT) and Lovett. But we look good this year in our "division".

We played the Club team called Team Charollete this summer in MD. The parents of the team thought they would come and beat us all. My team the MD Renegade which was made up mostly of me and my MIAA buddies beat them 13-1.

Which age group did you play, and which tournament did you play in?
I might be playing for Team Charlotte U-15 this summer. Most of the players and parents are really snobby for Team Charlotte...most are all really rich prep kids that think they own the world at lacrosse because they own our town at lacrosse. But, don't think too badly about us, Team Charlotte is our only window to playing against better competition.

yea im playing team charlotte this summer also, the sad thing is, half the team is there through connections with coaches and parents, not because of their skill. trust me, there are many other great players in this area that choose to not play team charlotte just because of the people and the way its run

i play at providence high. shtbrkd00, u saw providence day school, were providence high school (there private, were public) but were in the same city, and we beat providence day in a scrimmage, so, i guess we still get props from u. :chuckle:

I used to play for Weddington High School, till I realized I was playing with a bunch of pricks, and the coaches were horrendous (sp?). So now I just run XC and Track. You know, a REAL sport. I still play pick-up games though.

Grimsley High School. Finished the season 17-7. Guys from East, ya'll have a helluva team this year. #4 and #5 are nice. Gonna be a junior next year.
