Hey this is my second post and I'm tryin to make up for a bad first post.
I was wondering how you guys think Syracuse will do this year. This past year they lost nearly 70% of their starting offense, including Mike Powell. Now they are faced w/ 2 new attackmen and an entirely new midfield line.
Eh, they won't be so strong. I'm not sure, but hasn't Pfeiffer gruduated? Plus they haven't had Sol Bliss or John Glatzel, which were two amazing defensive players. Also, they're offensive catalyst, Mikey, is graduated, so basically, 'Cuse won't be so strong. But their coach is a good coach, so we'll see what happens.

pfeiffer is in a 5 year program... so he will be there again this year...
they will definately have to start playing more like a team if they want to be like they were last year, or the past 4 years for that matter...
theyve got some kick *** freshman coming in tho... watch out for chris greenman
greg rommel made some pretty nice plays last year so i think he will do good for the team this year
i dunno, if they play more like a team instead of relying on mikey, then they will be alright... another championship, ehh...
we will see

don't think pfeifer graduated.
but their D is weak to say the least. they were somewhat a disappointment in the regular season (obviously not in the tourney), and its hard to have another middie/attack line featuring powell, nee, dougherty, crockett, lindsay, among others. and pfeifer has been somewhat weak as a goalie.

I don't think they're going to go as far. Maybe final four. Look for Princeton this year, they had a very young squad last season and made it as far as they did. Very impressive.
I'm more worried about my own favorite, UVA, and my future team, (hopefully) BYU. BYU has gotten a new goalie and an awesome kid from Ohio, plus some strong guys, but they haven't won a championship in over five years. Ugh. UVA, they're not looking so hot. Not Tillman, no Brett Hughes, Rotelli and Shannon were already gone, but I think they still have Matt Ward, John Christmas and Joe Yevoli. Who knows. Navy, they've still got their sicknasty goalie, who is just incredible. And their face-off man, I think, who is beyond stellar.

everybody graduated people this year and syracuse is no exception. Yes they lost arguably the single best player of all time but they also get the best talent every year. I look again to johns hopkins simply because of pure numbers. They have been the number 1 seed in the tournament the last what? 5 years? They havent won and i think that the probabilities will catch back up to the rest of the field. I also like cornell this year

Who cares about Cuse, I'm wondering how Navy's gonna do. I just started playing last year, so I dont know a lot about them, but wasn't that their first championship game they've ever been in?

I went to navys lacrosse camp this summer and got to work with some of the varsity players. Theres no doubt in my mind that theyll have success this year as well. I read in IL that they use a version of the marine landing drill to condition the players, this is supposedly what led to their results last year. Dont leave out Princeton in the turny tho. Also Salisbury is gettin better.
