go to laxpower.com you can look up rankings for division 1, 3, etc women's lacrosse. if you are of d1 capability, some of the best schools are northwestern, duke, unc, penn, georgetown, syracuse, uva, etc
if you are of d3 capability, some of the best are Franklin & Marshall, Amherst, and Salisbury. it just depends at what level you play.

While all of the top lacrosse schools are good educational institutions, do not pick a school based only on its lacrosse ability. Ask yourself: Do I want to play in an ultra-competitive college?
This may mean sacrificing playing time as many of the top teams sub only their first line occasionally. It also may mean skipping lots of class for travel time. Northwestern is forced to travel East for it's competitive away games. Those girls probably miss tons of class.
If you know what you want to major in, research a school based on that and see if any of the current players are majoring in that as well. While it is hard for all athletes to balance their schedules, the science and math majors usually have the most difficulty keeping up with work and lab time.
Bottom line...figure out what you want to do in life, pursue it full force. If lacrosse is in that picture, then go for it, but not at the expense of your education. You should never have to change your major to continue playing a sport.
