my sister is just starting lacrosse and im getting her a new stick. Was just wondering
A: whats a good head thats also cost efficient that i can get her, your opinion and preferences are obviously welcome.
B: What are the legal standards for a pocket (i'm a guy i have no idea)
C: How do u best break in a pocket

I wanna get her off on the right track so she'll hopefully love the game as i do. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I'm coaching and felt it was important to have a girls stick--but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. After reading quite a few posts on the subject, I settled on the Tempest from sportsherway.com. They may still have some in stock; it's an older stick, still legal, low sidewalls, and the top part of the head is flatter and more flexible than my daughter's Envy (which cost 8x as much). Great for groundballs.

At the time, it was only available with a traditional pocket and I'm quite happy with that. Break it in as you would your own. If you get it with a Trakker Pro or another synthetic pocket, it won't require breaking in.
As far as the pocket depth is concerned, a ball placed in the pocket should just be visible over the sidewalls.

Good luck and I hope your sister enjoys the game.
