Question re College Equipment

Freshman year at a Div 1 college like Cuse, Maryland, Virginia or UNC etc
What happens re equipment do they just give you big phat list of sponsered equipment and you just tick the boxes??? how does it work?? do you pick the style of gloves, stick, also do they give you all your training & Team apparel etc in one big bag?

That really would be like Xmas!

it depends, most of the time it is a set package, at some schools you have to pay for this, at others you do not. all the training apparel is the same you just specify sizes, gloves are all the same and they are issued to you. as far as sticks we were normaly given a few different options of what we wanted and you would wrtie down which combo you wanted.

at all schools funding is differant. At my school (D2) we recieve x factor gels, a head, warm ups, and possibly cleats. all the players are issued c pro's but have the option to buy cpx's for a decreased price. you can also purchase equipment at a reduced price. at d1 schools you are issued all equipment of the supplier. if u want to use other equipment u can use your own except for helmets and gloves unles they are the uniform color. From what ive heard they also get heads and shafts for use in the season, so if they break one they can get another one but only to a point. all schools vary it depends on the funding of the school and ur supplier deal

I know that at one of the top D1 schools they get shoes, sticks, gloves, bags, clothing. I would assume this is all free because they get the stuff embroidered with numbers and in terms of clothing at least you wouldnt give people the same uniforms and warm-ups every year (at least shirts and shorts, etc you wouldnt). Also most D1 schools come out with new uniforms at least every few seasons if not every season and so I would think the girls could keep the old uniforms unless the club team get 'em.

I'd love to be a college laxer and get all that free gear :)

at SU you get a custom bag, warm ups, choose glove style arm pad style, shoulder pad style, two heads and two shafts....all the rest is outa ur pocket...exept helmets and cleats of cours...

I would think top teams like SU would get more than two sticks, it's better than paying though.

i thin they get two different stick set ups, then if it breaks or what not it gets replaced.
