Here's my argument.

Do you think he actually makes those logos, those catch phrases, all the things that he totes around in ads and such?

Hell no, he gets paid for his face. A marketing company makes slogans and such that are photo shopped near pictures of his face, and therefore he's unique.

I have run into mike powell on a few occasions. The most memorable was when I was walking through down town Syracuse and met him loading his music equipment into a bar. We talked for about 20 minutes about lacrosse, and going to California (my home state) at the end he asked me to come back and have share a beer sometime while he plays.

Personally I don't think Mike Powel is a tool, everyone needs to make money, people see him as an Icon and he is many peoples lacrosse hero.

Also how is it ignorance?

I actualy believe he made his logo, it comes from the eye black he wore in college

He doesn't hate him because of his status as an icon. Its not because of a photoshoot or anything. Its the add campaign.

Hes angry because brine is trying to get people to buy mikey's gear by saying it'll make them unique or different, when really it's doing just the oposite. It's contradicting itself and is just moronic.

Alright, he is saying B-U not anybody else. He wants to make money! We get it it is ironic/cliche/whatever the word should be. We all admit it is ironic, but no matter what you buy, unless you make all of your stuff in you basement workshop, you are buying your product from big business.
Now for your basic economics lesson. (from a 14 year old)
This Big business wants to make money, to make this money they need to have a product, then once they have a product they need someone to help sell it i.e. Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Mikey Powell. Now this endorser wants to make money too. So this Big Business pays whoever for them to say B-U- and no one else. Then the product goes on the market and their are those 6 year old kids sleeping over outside their local lax shop and when the dorrs open they say "OMGZ OMGZ OMGZ!!!!! Mikey Powell, I dont care if this is 10000000000 dollars I'm getting my parents to buy it" and the kid goes home with a smile on his face and a hole in his mom's purse. Then there are the people like you "OMGZ OMGZ OMGZ Mikey Powell is such a tool I will never buy anything from his MPhreeze line (even though you probably have the original swizzbeat and swerve)"

So in the end Big Business gets even bigger, Mikey Powell makes money and a million 11 year old fans. the 11 year olds get new equipment. And you sit at home throwing darts at a picture of Mikey Powell.

Dude..... You are INSANE!!! I was exactly like that when I was Younger.(like 9 to10) I went CRAZY for the MP line. I got the shaft and head (the old ones which are still the best!) and always fantasized about it. Its like that with everything!! How many people begged their parents for $300 IPODS for christmas when they first came out! The businessess find a market and age group and try to pursuade them to buy the product. It seems so easy. So stop being babys about MP's new gear and play the game! GOD!
Look, I know Johnny Christmas. He lives near me. And all lacrosse players are the nicest people ever! Unlike "Gansta" basketball and football players. He makes a living endorsing Maverik and he doesn't have the big @$$ mansion and neither does MP. Lacrosse players become business men and Doctors and anything you can think of which is why MP Does this! eventhough it may sound corny or gay, he needs the money unlike $100,000,000aire Peyton Manning who has a commercial on every 2 commercials during football games.
