At the end of a normal lacrosse game there is usually a ra ra _____ for the other team and then the hand shake line. I dont know about you, but for me in every handshake line that i have ever been in there has been mass confusion. Half the team is pounding and the other half of the kids are shaking. there is always those wierd situations wre your shaking someones pound or pounding someones shake. And there is always that 1 angry kid who pounds everyone really hard.

Im just looking for some clarification on this subject

Hey... I was just about to say that.

I guess, like the saying goes, "Great minds think alike".

Hard Pounders? Some people probably do it all the time and they don't notice. I say we just shake hands, no aggression.

most annooying thing is when people make stupid comments. (even if its my team thats saying them)

i think the most courteous thing is to take off the gloves and shake. Don't worry about someone else pounding or shaking. If someone is pounding, just kinda high-five their pound.

I go gloves off and shake. And if someone is stupid enough to pound, i just do waht middieman does and just high five it.

I pound, it's just easier for everyone and faster. I shake all the coaches hands though.

i leave my helmet on. but i do take my gloves off and shake hands. if they pound then i hi-five it. i also shake the officials hands and say 'thank you'.

I hate it. As a goalie, I have to set the standard for everyone else in line, so I always get shakes, slaps, pounds, everything.

a good handshake is all that is needed, no pounding

I think that giving a pound is just easier, i never really saw it as anything aggressive or disrespectful, that is unless youre one of those guys that is like punching everyone, then thats not good.

in HS...we always left our helmets on through the handshake...at away games all the way till we got on the bus and got driving...
there could be snipers on the roof...at least thats what we refered to it...i think coach just wanted to show some class...

Handshake. It's more professional.

i go with the "dead fish" technique, where i just stick out my hand (glove off) like a dead fish and let the other kid slap, pound or shake it.

helmet on, glove off. and a quick shake, almost just grab their hand for quick second.
