I Tried to search for this the best i could but couldnt get all the information i wanted.

How do you create a channel? What does a channel do?

Basically, keep it really tight up top and only single up till about the 3-4 hole. Interlocking also helps. Also, the width of the head at the point you stop singling up is going to be approximately the width of the channel.

Channels will add whip, but also alot of hold.

A channel is the middle "column" of the mesh. Depending on how tight the channel is, varying amounts of whip are added to your stick. Generally, the tighter the channel, the more whip on your stick.

To create a channel, you can use interlocking knots. See Orange's tutorial here: http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=57523 for more info. Make sure your sidewalls are pulled very tight for a tighter channel.

Another method of creating a channel is the knot featured on the Love Pocket. The Love Pocket, however, is a patented string job and directions on how to string this are not allowed to be distributed.
