start off with getting more balls so you don't have to chase...also torque your body more. The shot comes from the whole body not jsut your arms

you should be putting your weight behind the ball so that your leaning forward after the shot. Also You should develop a crisper wrist snap. And try shooting at the 3/4 position a few times.

Raise your arms higher.
Use your legs more.
Keep your front foot pointed to the goal.
You also might want to move your top hand down.

lifting weights also helps with shot speed

A few tips:
-Get both your arms out from your body, and raise both up a bit. Doing both will help get more torque into your shots as you go through your shooting motion.
-Get your body more into your shooting motion. It can't just be all arms, you need to explode forward, rotating your hips and upper torso (as well as your arms).
-Good tip is to make sure your body is aligned with the goal before you start your shooting motion and after you finish your motion, it can help with overall accuracy.
-Need to have more snap in your wrists and arms. It is kind of hard to explain what that means online. A way to help get more snap in your wrists and arms is to get your arms up and out from your body. When you go through your shooting motion, forcefully pull your arms forward and slightly downward (not too much that you hurt yourself). (This I guess you could say is the same or near the same as getting more torque on your shots from your arms).
-Practice different shots. Overhand, 3/4's, and underhand.
-Lastly, get some more lacrosse balls. The more you get generally the better deal. So get a few friends to pitch in money and get like 120 balls for 120$ (general price for 120 balls). Thats what I did and I have been very happy not chasing every ball.

Just remember to practice, practice, practice. It really does make perfect and will give you great confidence in your shot, will help with accuracy and power.

You have a pretty decent shot, keep up the good work.

I would start by shooting overhand. There are situations in games that call for a sidearm or underhanded shot but stick to practicing your overhand right now.

You need to rotate your body when you shoot. Your back should almost be facing the goal.

As my coach says "put some @$$ into your shot". Use those hips and let it rip.

Other than that watch some of the great overhand shooters like Kyle Dixon. Watch what he does with his body and go out and mimic it. Your shot will become more powerful and accurate with better mechanics. Keep practicing good luck.

get more balls, dont just shoot that side arm shot. switch it up but remember that you will get more speed with an over hand shot. also "if you aim small, you will miss small"

not too good try shooting over hand. your form is terrible read the article posted above. when shooting put your whole body in it and plant your feet. get a feel for it and let it rip

okay. but for some more advice, keep your arms out a little farther when winding up so you get more speed. also use your body as a spring, that is where you should be getting your shot speed from. also you should be falling forwards after you shoot or your not putting enough into your shot.

P.S. Always shoot with your gloves on no matter what. it is sooooooo much different shooting without them, and in a game, you are always wearing gloves.

hit the gym... it would help

but to be honest you should probably stop wasting your time asking people and just practice or watch videos of good players, it would be alot more effective
