It's pretty simple what everyone is going to say, Danowski. Who can honestly challenge this guy for it?

I dont think anyone can argue against Danowski. Leading the NCAA in points on a team that some could argue is one of the greatest to ever play?

No offensive player in Division 1 besides Greer and Danowski are even in the sixties for points, the next closest is 55 in Delaware's Curtis Dickson.

I just don't see this being the year a Non-Offensive player gets the bid, when Danowski and Greer are two of the most dominant offensive players the NCAA has seen since Mike Powell.

No need to rank them...it's Danowski and it's not even close!

Danowski will not win, the committee will look at this differently because he is a fifth year senior and should be a professional right now.
here are names to consider
1. Zach greer
2. Mike leveille
3. A Virginia attackmen (they're all amazing)
4. Kevin Buchanan

where did you come up with that assumption? He potentialy got robbed of it his junior year. So why not give him a chance to get it again. I mean if NCAA put enough thought in it to give them an extra year, why would it effect his chances for the trophy.

I agree, I don't think it would. Nobody ever stated that Danowski would be overlooked as a fifth-year senior. He's eligible to play in the NCAA, so why wouldn't he be eligible for this?

Anyways, on to my picks. Well, for starters, Danowski. Actually, that's about it. He deserves it.

But I would like to see someone on the defensive side of the field earn it. Burke, Loftus, Kemp, Bickford, Schneider, and Fullerton are all awsome keepers. Bickford in particular is overlooked.

Haha. It's funny. Last year this thread was a huge danowski-rabil debate and this time around no-one this far has even mentioned him, or even any hopkins player. I'd like to see him win since danowski narrowly beat him to it last year, but realistically he's got no chance at all unless he does something truly unbelievable in the whole second half of the season

Some people forget what Danowski and his teammates went through. Come on, he deserves it.

This award to me is about the whole season. Even if Rabil steps it up the second half and averages 5 points a game he doesn't deserve it. He is supposed to be the leader on this team and look at their record. Hopkins has never lost 5 straight games, if you think about what we saw it really is unbelievable. This is a season long award not a second half award. If Paul Rabil turned it on and won this award over Greer,Danowski,Levielle etc I would lose all faith in the voters of college lacrosse awards.

Is there a way to get a poll on this thread?

well its how the committee will most likely look at it. I got that assumption from quint keisnach and it seems right to me, They will hesitate to give it to a guy who is older than 98 percent of his competition, plays on a team where he is absolutely loaded with talent around him, and is playing his fifth year of college lacrosse.

If any defensive player should win, its Brian Farrell from Maryland. He has 6 goals so far playing long pole. Normally if a dmen gets a goal, It will give him enough excitement for a season... Besides if anyone saw his one handed goal vs Hopkins, you would have to agree
