i made this up but im having trouble thinking of what to call it, it doesnt need shooting strings and although it has a shallow high pocket, it throws and shoots perfectly

thats a lot of coils... looks like homegrown+pita/trad. haha not the prettiest pocket in the world but it takes some patience to twist that much crosslace. props. i would call it... the X-coil haha

Your interlocking knots look rather sloppy, but ultimately all that matters is how the pocket works for you.
I did something along a similar vein back in 2005.

It worked well, but in the end I opted to replace the pocket with a standard Pita. It looks like the coils are not parallel, but that could just be the camera work.
One tip I always gave stringers when I taught them was to string and restring a pocket. It's fun to invent a pocket style incorporating the best elements from other pocket styles, but it is even better to restring a head to improve upon the design you have begun.

That looks really heavy. The pocket could be deeper, but that's all.
call it "the pocket formerly known as crosslace"

Great idea, poor execution. Keep practicing though, you'll get it.
