hey, I searched quite a few variations of this but I can't seem to find much of anything. How do you effectively hide your stick (for a shot)/shot? I've finally almost got my form down but I still can't seem to hide my stick well enough. Thanks.

Just hold it straight back behind you during the wind-up for a shot. Only for a time-and-room, of course. A cut to the inside with a shot you should be more concerned about keeping it closer to your body (and/or a side of your body opposite the defender(s))to avoid stick-checks than hiding it from the goalie.

Right, I meant for a time-and-room shot. I got that, however when I hold it behind me the head of my stick peeks out from behind my body.

That is fine when it peeks out from behind your body. It will still disappear when it goes from behind your body to being launched at the goalie. That still throws the goalies off. That is a completely normal thing.

The stick hanging out behind your head shouldn't be a huge problem because unless a goalie has absolutely amazing vision, they will lose site of your stick while it is behind your head when you decide to initiate the forward swing of your shooting motion.

yea, all you have to do, is when your about to go, pull your stick back behind your head a little bit more. but if it messes up your shot, dont worry about it, it is not that important anyway if you have a hard and fast shot.

Yeah, a tiny bit of peek won't matter.

The best thing to do is get your team goalie to tell you if he can see the ball in your stick when you wind up for a time and room shot. You can then tweak your technique from there
