What are some of the most overrated teams in your area?

In Michigan, Birmingham Unified is consistantly the most overrated team. Touted as a state championship team every year, they have only been to the finals 3 times in their 15 year history (winning only one state championship). Also, they are sometimes (falsely) touted as one of the oldest teams in the state, when in fact 13 other programs existed before they began play, some by as much as 20 years.

Definately in Michigan, Cranbrook hasn't played up to potential, although they are still pretty damn good. Also, Novi seems to be getting alot of hype, but I am still unsure about them too.

Dude, talk about not being that guy. Cranbrook has only been recently considered a championship caliber team (again) in the last 3 years (3 final four appearances...the last two of them in the finals) since they won their last championship in 1995. Cranbrook's numbers speak for them...7 state championships in 12 finals appearances. In fact, Cranbrook is actually considered an underdog year after year compared to the perennial hype about Birmingham (again only one championship in 3 finals appearances).
