Given the expansion of lacrosse to the Midwest, this begs the question: Who are the all-time best Midwestern high school lacrosse players who went on to play (or will play) for top NCAA Division I programs?

Pat Hogan, DeSmet High School '99 in St. Louis

He has got to be up there somewhere. Played for Syracuse, won two national championships, and scored multiple goals in the one I saw (if I remember correctly).

David Willard, Princeton, St. Louis University High School '01 (St. Louis). He should be near the top of the list. Missourian walk-on at Princeton. Played on NCAA title finalist team in '02, two NCAA Final Fours, three Ivy League championships. Earned Academic All-American and Academic All-Ivy honors as Tierney's top d-middie his junior year.

I'd say currently it's Brooks on 'Cuse. Then Hurley on Cornell. Up and coming is Jason Duboe on Harvard, leading scorer as a sophomore middie.
