Alright so I'm stuck between two schools, Presbyterian and Mount st. mary's, at presby i'm guaranteed a spot and mount i'll have to try out with all the other incoming recruits. I love the campus so much better at mount and its only 2 hours from home, presby is 9 hours. the academics are better at mount and the competition of lacrosse. Any advice? should I go to presby knowing i'll be on the team and not like the campus so much or should i take a stab at mount st. mary's where I love it? Any advice?

i would talk to someone from mt st marys and see what the odds of you making the team are first and go from there if possible

go to mount, there are going to be so many incoming freshmen recruits at Presbatierian that you'll barely see the field, the coaching staff at mount is better as well, presby has really bad coaching staff, my friend left there because the coach was horrible.

Go to Mount St. Mary's. You'll be happier there regardless of lacrosse. Go where you want to be, don't go somewhere just because of lacrosse.

But I wanna play more than anything and I'd make a sacrifice to do so. I really feel like i could make the team, i just don't want some political stuff to happen and then be cut or something

Yea i had a situation similar to yours about where to g2 school next year and where i want 2 play lax....the thing that you gota keep in mind is this question....Will i be happy here if lacrosse doesn't work out? if your answer to that question for mount st. marys is yes, then g2 mount st marys....lacrosse will probly work out for you there considering your a d1 recruit, and even if it doesn't you'll still be happy there....as opposed to presby where yea lax will probly work out, but if it doesn't it sounds to me like your gona be miserable there

Yea but I'm a transfer recruit, I don't know how hard he'll look at me come try outs, I visited with him and have expressed my interest and have kept in touch but i want to go somewhere where I'll be on a team for sure.

Well if you just want to play, then just go to MSM, try out, and if you make the team great. If you don't you can play on their club team. Then you're at the school where you want to be and you're playing lacrosse.

Well heres my situation, I've enrolled at the mount for next year with the assumption that I will make the team as a walk on. I've spoken with the coach, met with him, he's watched my football highlight film and he pretty much knows who I am. What are my chances of walking on there if I work my butt off this summer even though I'm going into just my second and a half year of lax?

Not to be rude but we don't know you from a hole in the wall. So us giving you odds on if you will be able to play at the Mount is rediculous. Best advice, be ready. Best shape of your life and hit the wall hard from now on. Good Luck.

Yeah College is not solely for Lacrosse, go to where you want to be for the next 4 yrs. If you dont make the team so be it, just play club and try again next year. ALWAYS GO WHERE YOU WANT TO, NOT JUST WHERE YOU CAN PLAY its the cardinal rule of college

go where you want to be... not where you want to play... lets say you break your knee and cant play lax... you dont want to be miserable... that's why i chose Ole Miss.... great atmosphere and a pretty good MCLA D1 team... i could live there without lacrosse... i wouldnt want to, but i could.
