I am a very picky lacrosse player. I admit it. I do not like much whip in my stick at all, I cannot play with a shallow pocket, and most importantly, I am extremely picky with my shafts. I cannot, and I mean CANNOT use a 30 inch shaft. I'm over 6 feet, I have long arms, and I grew up using a 31 inch shaft. I have twice bought 30 inch shafts, only to my dismay, and I ended up returning both.

Just by picking up a stick and maybe throwing with it once, I can tell its 30 or 31 inches. I feel so uncomfortable with it, it feels like playing with a mini stick.

I'm looking to buy a python optra from most likely bacharach or lacrossedigest. Is there any way I can know that the python optra is 31 inches? Or do they make it in both sizes?

Well, if it is only 30", couldn't you like fabricate a inch extension, like out of tape and cardboard or something?

or wood. Try just taking some light wood and taping it onto the end of the shaft.

i don't think it wood make it feel weird.(haha) Just get some wood, then cut down the sides of it to make it the same shape as the shaft. Tape it on, cover the wood with tape, and you're all set. It's just like if the bottom of your shaft was covered in tape. Also, use electrical tape. It is nice and smooth for those who don't like taping shafts.

I think they make them in 30 and 31, I may be wrong.

If i were you i would go with a harrow box. They are stronger than the python optra, I have seen and played with a python optra....they are much like harrows but the design is different and they seem a little heavier. They don't seem like they chip tho.

I felt that the python optra was really light. I despise the harrows grip...way too rubbery. Python's give a much better feel. And harrow box's are about the weight of an AL shaft...not my style.

Yeah I definitely used to have a 30 inch klyte, cause I also used to have a 31 inch Sensicore and it pissed me off being too big and I compared it to the klyte, an inch bigger. It was 30".

I'm pretty sure that brine shafts are 31 inches. My f55 is longer than my cut 803.

Could that possibly be because your 803 is... cut?

I knew that, but you said your's was cut, so I figured you cut it yourself? I'm kinda confused.
