He's right, it's preference. No one will know which is the best stick for you, the will just list whatever combo they have now or whatever is on their wishlist. If I were you, since you seem pretty new to lax, I would try doing some research on some heads and shafts out there and see which ones you like. Also try looking at some of the review here on the forum and other sites. There is also a very, very wide range of prices depending on your budget. So far, everything said so far would work. Now, if I played attack, I would get a clutch on a krypto pro, but that's just my preference, now it's up to you to decide which is the right stick for you.

Ive done some research, but that was before i played attack. I looked through different heads and shafts, but they were all def cause i thought id play d. Are stick lengths better for diff sizes? And I dont think stringing is for me unless i have something infront of me. It looks complicated just reading.

Well if you play attack, you MUST use an attack length stick. Only on defense at the youth level would people cut their sticks to match their height.

i know the must use attack stick, but are different lengths of an attack stick better for diff ppl, or are they all the same length. Also, for a beginner player, do you guys think a gait ST6000 with an icon head will work. Im just trying to stay within the 40$ range for my first one because the ones around the corner are 40.00 and im trying to get better ones than those. Any advice would be welcome

Well the all must be between 40-42 inches, so yea, they are all the same. Also, how old are you. A Gait Icon on a ST6000 is a beginner head. It would work at the youth level, but definitely not by high school.

im 15, just turned it, but if you saw my team, youd want to give them youth sticks. Lacrosse around here is more of a suburban sport.(CT) Im pretty sure, right now, ive got the worst team in state.

you have to be kidding spartanlax

but if you for budget heads, a STX AV8 is probably the best of the beginner heads(it's about $25). If you want to upgrade a bit, see if you can get an answer(about $40).
