I'm looking to make an agility training routine for this summer to improve my stop and go speed at X.

I've been able to find threads about agility training, and I have found tons of agility workouts, but out of all the drills out there, how do I choose which types of drills I should be doing, and how do I go about doing them?

This website has tons http://www.performanceworkouts.com/exercise_guides_agility_1.shtml

But, it's a bit overwhelming. Do they all serve the same general purpose, or does each drill help you in a unique way?

Thanks
Mike

My advice for you is instead of trying to make your own work out talk to a speed/agility trainer and set up an appointment for him/her to evaluate you and then get you started on a program made for you. This will really help you a lot more because 1. its coming from a professional who is trained in this subject, and 2. They'll be able to create a custom program thats designed to make you better, and they will be able to give you drills to target weak areas like lateral movement or acceleration, etc etc...
but in the long run, the time and the money is worth it.

Yeah, price is kind of an issue, but that might be a possibility. Any other advice?

well if price is a problem. I did a little research and this is what i found:
http://www.performbetter.com/catalog/matriarch/MultiPiecePage.asp_Q_PageID_E_94_A_PageName_E_spee dagilitysheets

It a great website i was reading thorough it and it seem like it can help you a lot. I would recommend using the speed ladder training guide. Speed ladders aren't too expensive and are very VERY affective.

This is the cheapest ladder i could find but if you looked around a bit you could probably find one for around $30-$40.
