Is this possible? I'm currently in my junior year and it has been plagued with injuries and other distractions. I've sat about half our games and only got a few minutes each game I have dressed. Last night losing to our archrivals in 3 OT was a HUGE wakeup call to me. I feel like I havent prepared myself nearly enough to reach our team goals and my goals for myself. I also have made it my goal to move onto the next levell of lacrosse into college. I am preparing a 7-day/week schedule of lifting, running, and stick skills in the offseason. My skills now are already at 'intermediate' but nowhere near the college par. However I am now fully comitted. My only fear is that whether or not its possible. I have numerous worries, including the fact that college apps and whatnot are due long before the lacrosse season even starts. Lacrosse is semi-new to my area, so getting noticed will be somwhat easier, but still very hard, compared to the East. Does anybody have any stories of this happening before and how did it work out for them?

It depends on where you want to go to school. I know plenty of teams who will take bad-average players if for no other reason but needing numbers. Regardless, I was recruited by a number of schools through my junior year, however, the school I ended up going to didn't even see me until the winter of my senior year. It's still not too late to register for some summer showcase, and you can certainly not too late to register for the fall/winter ones. However, from your post, it sounds like you're off the east coast, so you might have to find a way to get there if you really want to be recruited.
