I skipped a hole in between each on my clutch, this combo worked real nice for my liking of a little whip...

1i, 1i, 1i, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1

It was a mid-low pocket which performed well until my poor clutch was murdered.

if you use american mesh from jimalax then do as follows

start with the second hole from the top and then every mesh hole gets a sidewall hole until there are 6 holes left.

starting with six holes left in the sidewall. (I mean from the sixth hole from the bottom on)

skip the sixth hole than string the fifth.
skip the fourth string the third.
skip the second and finish with the last hole.

this should do it.

maybe this will help
