I'll apologize in advance for this thread, but because search isn't working and I really need to know.

I play D at a highschool JV level and I was wondering if there are any specific heads that are awesome for defenders, along with which stringing jobs are best.
I currently have a Clutch with a broken in-I think it's Jima- hard mesh that has a mid pocket( ya know, not at the bottom but not right with the shooters)
I recently strung a traditional razer 2.0 and love it but its on a shorty.
I was wondering if most defenders prefer traditional/custom string jobs or mesh
Thanks for the help

its really preference for both. most defenders prefer a head that is strong and stiff to hold up on checks though. pocket is completely different from player to player. the position means nothing.

the defenders at my school love the proton (original) and other heads like the warrior stiffi. they also use the brine motive. i see some defenders w/ the E3 and the brine truth so it depends on the person.

the pocket, some defenders like shallow pockets, but i would think deep pockets would be nice.

almost all the defenders on my team use hard mesh or dura mesh. 1 kid however uses monster mesh.

i'd suggest that u use the same mesh that ur using now (thats if u like it) and the pocket position isnt that important.
