pretty sweet
a few comments though

at one point he says it requires years of experience. well, then how does someone start it for the first time?

he also says it has to be smooth so the player wont get splinters. these sticks were used for the indians to play to prepare for war. i thibk the last thing they worried about was splinters.

Splinters can hurt man, and the last thing you want when playing lacrosse is sore hands. It would make craddeling/throwing MUCH harder.

through learing, it's obviously like you didn't just click with lacrosse the first time you picked up the stick, you worked at it and developed the skills and the right technique. The same applys with this you learn little by little. Its the same as everything else you do in life

Anybody have a link or something for more info on how to make an oldschool stick?

I've got a pretty serious shop and can make a draw knife and the forms needed for bending the wood, I just need dimensions and the pattern of holes to drill for the stringing. I'm also wondering if you have to steam the wood or if you can just boil it or something else since I don't know how to steam wood or have the setup. All I've got is propane/coal forges and I don't think putting the wood in them will have the same effect as steel.
