I just recently re-strung my Son's Deuce with Dura-Mesh. He has a decent pocket and has been doing well with it.

On Sunday he played a game in the rain and the pocket stretched out considerably, all his passes were going down low, I assume from too much wip. When I checked the pocket after the game it was illegal, so deep.

I tightened some of the strings and re-did the bottom string, once the mesh dried out it was half a pocket, I had to re-do the bottom string back to normal.

Is this normal when the pocket gets wet, do you guys do something for prepping the stick in a rainy game?

Thanks

That is just what happens when it rains during games. There is not too much you can do to prep, unless you just tighten the bottom strings a little so the pocket won't be illegal when the rain comes. Rain can be a pain at times but it happens and there is not a lot that can be done about it.

you can purchase some composite mesh. www.stringersshack.com All of this mesh is waterproof!

Thats completly normal, but if you know your going to a game and its raining, Just tighten your bottem string and get it wet before the game, so you can have the pocket ready. When i play in rainy games I usually just bring my backup stick and tighten the mesh ALOT and make sure its wet before i play.

Guys, Thanks for the feedback.

Good to know for next time, I'll let it dry before re-doing the strings!
