OK yesterday at my game I noticed my Revo Pro w/ high pocket was shooting extremely low, so I asked my friend (who says he's great with restringing stuff) to make it so it doesnt come out so low. (Is this what "whip" is?) So I had 3 straight shooters and a nylon shooter across the top, with 1 row of mesh in between each shooter. So my friend takes the stick and tightens them and says it's not any better, so he takes out a shooter from the bottom and says that it was better. I didn't really notice a difference, but now I have 1 less shooter (he didnt give it back.) So is it ok to have 2 straight shooters and a nylon shooter, or is it better to have 3? I know it's a preference things, but what are the pros and cons? Here is some pics of it before and after.

After: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k12/darktwin166/Picture031.jpg
And I can also push up on my shooters and make it so the bottom shooter actually goes above the top shooter, which may cause it too shoot low, here's some pics on what it looks like when that happens. How can I fix this?

Scrunched up mesh:

Recap of questions:

2 or 3 main shooters? Pros, cons.

Srunched up mesh cause of throwing down?

What is whip?

well any high pocket is gonna have whip. you either have to get rid used to it or make the pocket lower. i have a high pocket but i like whip but its all preference

Yes, what you are experiencing is whip. If you want to get rid of the whip, you are probably going to have to restring the sidewalls.

You could take that second shooter out and still throw the same with just a little less feel of the release of the ball.

I had the same problem and I did the following:

Either loosen them all up and have them increase in tension as you get closer to the mouth.

ORRRRRRR.... Tighten that guide nylon insanely and keep it were it is in the mesh.(the same row of diamonds) Then skip 4 rows. On the 4th put a shooter across with no tension and no slack. Then the next row up a little tighter and the next row a little tighter.

90% of the time, high pockets will have a considerable amount of whip to them.

I have a High pocket on my Revo pro with 1 tight weaved nylon and 3 rolled straight shooters. probably a 3 on the whip scale. Just enough to be able to throw sidearms when i please.

with the scrunched up mesh like that it looks like ur second shooter is too tight causing the ball to get caught there making whip. try loosening it up just a tad and see how it works. make sure its still a little bit tighter than your bottom shooter.

its your sidewalls you need to re do them and you should be good, try following a tut here on the forums.

since its scrunched up, its making the ball shoot straight down right when it hits that thing. The shooters are your preference, but try to do 3 shooters, maybe 2 and a U and do it like a stairwell. The U on the bottem is loosest, and as it goes up, it gets tighter

The way I see it is the exact opposite, that second shooter looks like it's TOO lose and giving so much and finally snagging, the top shooter is too tight...

Try to make a gradual slope, add more shooters if you need as it will help keep the "slope" gradual.
