I need advice on how to break in my hard mesh. I'm new to lacrosse but I love the game and I think its sick. I wanna keep playing, anyway I got a new stick and I got it strung. I got hard mesh because I've seen players on my team with soft mesh and it doesn't look pretty. I have conditioner, water(ha Plumbing), etc in my house can you guys help. Tonight would be nice

Try rinsing the mesh under hot water and pounding it while wet. (conditioner optional)

it would probably work, but most people use shampoo or conditioner.

get the mesh wet and pound a ball into it to get a pocket

I usualy do lotion to make the mesh soft and strechy before I string it, but afterwards is a good way to get it streched out and broken in. Water is the generic option, but lotion, shampoo, and conditioner all work.

just do it like you wash your hair, get the mesh wet then rub the shampoo in until it gets foamy, then rinse after like 30 of rubbing the foamy stuff around.

Use fabric softener. Greatest thing ever.
What I do usually, is get fabric softener, wash the head in it, and while its still wet, pound the pocket little by little, and play with it at the same time against the wall. You will get the best pocket for YOU, and it only takes around an hour.
It will take a while to get the mesh acually broken in a lot, considering it takes at least 1 season just to have great mesh to play with.

Stretch, run under hot water, stretch again, rub in some standard hand/body lotion, rinse with hot water, dry/squeeze the water out with a towel. Mesh is ready to go.

Shaving cream, hot water, conditioner. All three work fine..

put the mesh under hot water and then get a ball and push the ball in the mesh until water dries.
